Protected area under the Habitats Directive (SCI) with code BG0000594, which includes the Protected Area Bozhi Most and the Protected Area Ponor Cave. The typical rock formations, karst habitats and related plant and animal species are subject to conservation. In the territory of the protected area there is a water cave, about 3.5 km long, crossed by an underground river, where deep lakes form.
It is located in the territory of Vratsa District and falls within the territorial scope of the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Water – Vratsa.
The access is via an paved road to the village of Chiren, the last 2 km are via dirt road. The sightseeing spots and the approaches to them are designated, but there is no dedicated infrastructure.
Additional attractions include the ruins of a medieval fortress, located right next to the rock formations.
